How to Conduct a User Interview

The cardinal rule: never ask "would you use this?" — people say yes out of politeness. Ask about past behavior instead. "Tell me about the last time you tried to do X" is infinitely more revealing.
Synthesizing Research Into Design Insights
Raw research data is not actionable. You need to synthesize it into insights: patterns across multiple users, underlying needs behind stated preferences, and opportunities for design to improve the experience.
